Healing

In the healing sessions that I offer, we tap into the wisdom of the body to be guided into a more optimal state of being, one that honors each individual’s true and unique nature. If you feel you have fallen out of step, have unmet longings for change, are facing a major crossroad or confronting a challenging life circumstance; this type of work can offer the support and insight needed for you to regain your confidence.  

 

At the heart of these sessions is a grounding and reorienting practice aimed at resetting one's inner compass. I also use energy rebalancing, somatic, and breathwork techniques to help clients regulate their nervous systems.

 

Energetic imbalances in the nervous system (and body generally) can be experienced on a spectrum between overly excited/charged to its opposite, sluggish/stagnant that, when habitual, leads to ill-health.

 

The restorative practices and tools offered in these healing sessions will target these conditions with the goal of restoring flow and balance internally and within your daily life. When you dwell in calm spaciousness, feelings of joy and sense of purpose emerge and healing happens!

Healing Modalities

Energetic

From physics, we know that all energy travels in waves and can be measured at different frequencies. Studies have shown that human emotions vibrate at different frequencies. Fear and blame, for example, are low level frequencies that tend to tax and deplete our energy reserves. Acceptance and peace, on the other hand, vibrate at higher frequencies and tend to uplift us spiritually and generate positive physiological effects. In energetic healing, you become more attuned to these differences and learn how to generate those higher vibrational states. While it is beneficial to develop an embodied understanding of those emotions, it is also essential to address habits related to getting adequate sunlight, sleeping, eating and spending time in nature. I offer coaching to weave these essential nutriments into a self care practice to holistically improve health, immunity, bodily rhythms and a felt sense of vitality.

Somatic

Somatic practices help restore our sense of equilibrium by guiding us back to the experience of being in our bodies, an ever-present invitation to return to the here and now. These practices are particularly valuable during the times when the mind becomes overly charged accompanied by feelings of overwhelm. Getting moving is a powerful first step in stress management. Techniques drawn from Tai Chi such as grounding, tapping, shaking and brushing become tools that can be applied both intuitively as well as methodically in the very moments when you need them most. We can build on what you are already doing intuitively and/or I can offer a more structured portable practice.

Breathwork

To breathe is to live therefore how we breathe is central to the quality of our being at any given moment. Breathing with awareness gives us access to our inner world, a portal that allows us to regulate our responses to stress and tension so that we can relax and enjoy ourselves. Other breathing methods can be more stimulating in nature and applied to situations where you need to increase your energy generatively. Healthy breathing patterns have far reaching physiological effects that affect immunity, cardiovascular health, digestion, motor patterning and coordination of core muscles, as well as longevity. Breathing can become your super power!
